Yea I am in the index .If I type less competitive keywords
like my name I come up ,however for important keywords I
do not exist ?
When I compare to other sites(some newer) that would compete on key words london ontario real estate , they have little or no content let they suddenly rank higher .. perhaps yahoo is broken and not worth the time ?

you have code problems
you have sections that are using word code, thats bad for the se's they do not like it, and did you use a site builder, there is just a lot of bloated junk code
I know you are really proud of your site, but the quality of coding is important and a part of the ranking algo

code like this usually comes from taking text from MS Word or Publisher and then copying it into your webpage
What site builder program did you use, as this issue is only the tip of the iceberg. There is still a lot of bloat and non compliant code in your pages that isn't even related to the above.
If you were a potential client, before I even attempted to optimize your site for the engines, I would do a rebuild with good, clean, compliant code.

I use the template system from the point2 real estate portal.
The code issue wouls seem to predict that I would never have acheived a top ranking?Howver my site and others that use the same portal do rank well ?

that may very well be, for now, at this moment and today, but they will eventually fail also, and what are they ranking for, a site will always rank for their domain name. We see it all the time, eventually the search engines find the sites and devalue them.
As a general rule of thumb, site builders are not good, and many are penalized by the search engines from the start.
you asked for opinions and i gave you mine, I looked at the point2 site, whenever I see a "build a site without any technical knowledge, we will submit to the search engines for you, only 9 dollars a month, join our network," I run away as fast as I can.
How much does $9.00 dollars really buy, does it really make sense that you can achieve internet success for a paltry$9.00.
And if you are spending $9.00, and your competition is spending $10,000 dollars, who do you think is going to win?
as a rule, I don't worry about the competitors are doing, just what I am supposed to be doing, and I will beat them almost everytime.

Also, I just looked at your site in a text browser to see what the search engines see.
here is what they are indexing first, and i did not even copy all of it.
is it is not legitimate web code, the engines are counting it as onpage text because they do not know how to interpret it

komoka - I agree and suggest you at minimal learn HTML - it really is not hard. Think of it as learning a new language.
You will get many different opinions about the best way to build a web site but you at least need to have the bare basics.
I also suggest this book that I learned a lot from - It's like the dummy series but I like this one more.
Master Visually - creating a web site.
However there are many free places online to learn HTML and how to build a site the correct way and how to check your codes.
Let me give you a starting point.
Use this to learn html and so much more -
[link]
Use this to check your html -
http://validator.w3.org/
w3 is a reliable and respected and free site
Hope this helps
PS: when I checked your site - it shows 739 errors.

mj - great minds learn and think the same
I don't think your post is harsh. It is full of facts that they need to know.
Kom - you have been given a lot of help here - now it is up to you if you want to learn what we say you need to learn and change what needs changed.
We will be here for you with any questions you have along the road - but you must be willing to do the needed work.
Short cuts as in site builders and such are not accepted in the web world or in SEO.
So IF you really want to make a go of this, you need to be committed to learning the right way.
Once you learn the correct way to do things you will find, it is not hard - it really isn't !

Hi komoka -
I just wanted to chime in that I've had the same kind of issues with the website I manage for a Realtor. He built it using a real estate portal, which was great for easy updating, but is terrible for SEO. Especially given the fact that half of the content on his website is provided by the portal and therefore duplicated elsewhere on the web. I've run into the same problem where others using the same portal and essentially the same content get better rankings. It's possible that it's not an onsite factor - maybe they have great linking? Kind of hard to tell.
But the end conclusion is still what these experts have told you - after working within the constraints of that system, it became clear to me quickly that if we wanted any improvements in ranking or real control over what the search engine sees, we'd have to bust out of the template.
