Name of Site/Business: Car Credit.com

Site's Main Purpose: Ecommerce/Sales

Please Review the following:
Does the home page sufficiently convince people to go further into the site?

Additional Comments/Notes
Hello,

I have outstanding rankings for competetive keywords for the site in my profile. Unfotunately our conversion seems very low. around 10% from direct SEO traffic for specific terms (google page 1 for "car loans" ) ANy advice on page design to help with conversions would be awesome.

Thanks

Truthfully I am stumped. I know that does not help you any - sorry. Hopefully some one with more knowledge/experience will come by and help you out.

Everything I see, looks good.

I myself will follow this up, to see what was suggested to you.

Thanks Beth, maybe that's just what the market will bear in this industry. When I started working here, they were converting 5-7% I have tweaked it up to 10% accross the board and 10-13% on search engine traffic (we get a lot of direct traffic due to the domain name that doesnt convert well maybe 5-6%)

Here is a little gem that will help you do a bit of scientific research into how the visitors traverse your website. I recommend this to all.

ClickHeat is a visual heatmap of clicks on a HTML page, showing hot and cold click zones.

Hi I'm no SEO expert (I'm on here to pick up some tips!) - in terms of design here are some suggestions but they may conflict with SEO rules:
1. There seems to be 2 mastheads at the top of the page which means much of the content with links is pushed further down the screen so user needs to search for it. I'd suggest just using the one.
2. I think the image showing get a response in 60 seconds is realy motivating (I know that would make me want to start a user journey) and I wonder if this call to action could go at the top of the page.
3. In the copy you have various words in bold and I think from a usability point of view this can make the page seem too cluttered. I'd only use bold sparringly, if at all. Also bold and underline can be a bit confusing as you may think this is a link.
4. I think the first sentance "Car Loans from our Nationwide network of bad credit car dealerships are easier than ever to get approved for. Our bad credit car dealerships offer all makes and models for you to choose from" is a little confusing. If necessary for SEO purposes I'd tuck a further down the page. The following sentances are as clear as crystal and so I'd suggest giving more prominence...ie set in white space underneath masthead.

Hope that is of some help, J

Wow, great advice john. Thank you. Perhaps I can rework the image at the top to include the "get a response in 60 seconds" thing in there. Love the phrase "user journey" What is a masthead? sorry not familiar with the terminology
The SEO copy can be made to read more easily you are correct. Someone hire this guy!! :o)

Thanks!
