I am currently putting together recommendations for youtube videos to broadcast our software demos and was just wondering if anyone had any insight on how to optimize these videos for SEO??
Also, has this been something of a success with anyone?
Does anyone know of any case studies of successful companies that have done this?
any advice would be greatly appreciated!!
Thank you!!

sarah - I would think that getting SE ranking for videos is much like anything else.
I too have personally done searches and seen youtube videos right on top

With all image and video content it is important that you fill get it surrounded with text that describes the content, use the title tag and meta description to full effect.
If the site allows you to list "tags" that are shown on screen as links then make sure you take the time to do that too.
Some data formats also allow information to be embedded in the file. Make sure you fill all that in too, as search engines are getting better and better at finding and indexing such stuff.
